Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was morning news anchor on WCBD TV and was the crime reporter. The articles written by O'Dell in Charleston concerning how Charleston police dealt with DUI cases with care, led to an inquiry by State Law Enforcement Division. The investigation resulted a stricter directive for state authorities. Ms. O'Dell was awarded her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell has worked in Charleston reporting and co-anchor at the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station before moving into Access Hollywood where she is now a correspondent and co-anchor during weekends. In addition to her current job as the lead anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and also for Dateline NBC. She has reported on the events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted the Pre ShowArrivals Shows at The Emmys. She also hosted Miss USA's pageant, as in addition to the Miss Universe Pageant.
